College Weekend Skydives, Skydive Carolina
Skydive Carolina kicked off College Weekend ‘07 this past weekend. On Saturday, according to the reports I recieved, about 70 tandem skydives were made and another 40 were planned for Sunday. I am not sure of the exact numbers and the weather took it’s toll about half day Sunday.
Saturday went down perfectly. I made two jumps (#28 and #29); one through a blanket of white puffy clouds and another where I opened at 8000 ft. so that I could practice canopy skills and enjoy the view. I opened directly above two large white clouds and the view isn’t describeable, so I won’t even attempt to do so. I will say this, only a handfull of people in the history of the world ever get a view of the sky as I had.
There was a live band at the end of the day, beer flowing and good times as always. Unfortunately I left when it was getting dark and didn’t get to enjoy the after hours parties, but I did come home to another party and had a few beers of my own.
I made the two most enjoyable skydives of my skydiving career this past Saturday and had a blast hanging out. It’s all good.
